    "content": "On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. In the light of how the Assistant Minister is trying to answer the question that you have put to him, it appears he is not very sure. I would support hon. Cheruiyot’s position. I think it is high time we started talking openly about these things. KenGen is receiving over Kshs800 million and it is KVDA which is doing maintenance of the dam and we know the ownership of KenGen. Even though the Government has ownership of it, it is also in private hands. There is a large percentage. Transcentury owns a very large percentage. Why are we, as a country, giving a lot of money and profits to private individuals, yet the poor Pokots and Turkanas cannot get any funding from this body? Of what use is this dam to us?"
