    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are at the point where the farmers mainly in the North Rift have not been able to sell their maize because NCPB has stopped purchasing the maize. Two weeks ago, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister indicated on the Floor of the House that there is money to buy maize in this country and to date, nothing has happened. Would I be in order to request the Minister to take this very seriously; that farmers in this Republic are eagerly waiting? They are about to go back to farming and the indication from the Government, even to the point of wanting to import maize, is actually a discouragement to the farmers."
