    "content": "The other principle that I think should inform us in moving forward is the whole question of sustainability of land use. For example, in Laikipia, which I represent here, there are tracts of land where, we, as peasant farmers, have been attempting for the last 20 to 30 years, to make a living by growing maize, beans and other crops. We, as households, have ended up becoming poorer. So, in my view, one of the things that the regime of land administration ought to do is to encourage us to make use of land in ways that will help us to benefit and have economic value out of those lands."
