I do understand Standing Order No. 11 which clearly talks about the appointment of the Leader of Government Business, the first deputy and the second deputy. In your own point of order, you said, “for the information of the Government side as well as the Chair;” what did you want to inform the Chair? I have not heard anything that you said that you essentially felt that the Chair should know. The Chair has absolutely no authority over the Government in the appointment of the Leader of Government Business, the First Deputy or the Second Deputy!"
