I support the increment with regard to teachers’ salaries as well as that of the Kenya Defence Forces. During the Budget last year, we were not at war. I can, therefore, fully understand why this is coming under the Supplementary Budget. Indeed, that is one of the cases that was not covered by the Constitution; emergencies like those. That needs to be corrected."
