    "content": "The Government has promoted local cultures in Kenya through the Ministry of State for National Heritage and Culture by initiating and formulating the National Policy on Heritage and Culture which was launched in March, 2010, and which provides policy direction on various issues pertaining to culture, while laying emphasize on necessary steps to be undertaken on all cultural programmes and projects to be pursued, to ensure promotional aspects of culture. The policy document is to ensure that there is full inclusion and participation of all citizens in development of the culture sector by guaranteeing social cohesion."
