    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Member for Turkana South has talked about oil discovery in his constituency. We applaud this and also want to say that there are many other minerals that have been discovered. In Kitui County, two weeks ago, I led a group of my constituents to go and examine coal mining in China. This is because it is planned that coal mining will start in my constituency in two years. We have iron ore and other minerals. We want legislation and revenue sharing to be clearly defined, so that in those areas that incidentally have been marginalized in the past, but now God has come to on their side and minerals, including oil, coal and others are being found, revenue will be shared in a way that those areas will benefit, so that they can be uplifted economically. Therefore, before we even go into exploration of oil, coal and so on, we must set legislation that will guarantee the revenue sharing in a manner that will benefit the communities and, of course, also benefit the nation, because these minerals belong to the nation."
