"content": " Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. Of course, since my name has been mentioned, I stand to oppose the amendment. I think this country must come to terms with the fact that we have a new order in which spousal rights have to be respected. The amendment is taking us back, and I am a bit surprised that it is coming from a pastor. The fact of the matter is that this amendment does not clarify anything because the clarity is already there in the Constitution. The country will be bringing forth laws on matrimonial property and domestic violence. If anybody wants any clarity, that will be the time to put it in; to put it in the laws that we are passing now is unfair."
