He said at the very beginning that because of the increase in production of pyrethrum, he is now able to pay farmers, whom he had not paid previously. In Nyandarua County, farmers have not been paid for pyrethrum deliveries from the period between 2003 and 2008 to date. As a result of this, they are not growing pyrethrum any more. Who are the farmers that the Assistant Minister has been paying, and who have been giving him pyrethrum flowers? Why has he not paid farmers in Nyandarua County, who are uprooting the only cash crop that they have in that area?"
