(a) I am aware that the repair works on Kakamega-Kisumu Road, at the section between Lukose River Bridge and Muraka Shopping Centre are temporarily stopped. (b) The reason for the temporary stoppage was because the funds from the original contract were not adequate to complete the works. The implementing agency KeNHA, effected a variation order of Kshs33, 844,116. The works resumed early this year and were completed in February, 2012."
