"content": "So, there is need to amend some of the laws that we have been using more especially now that we have a devolved government and many of our laws will be amended. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have witnessed atrocities on our roads. Some of these atrocities are an act of our own making. We could avoid many deaths and injuries on our roads only if we plan well. I think this is one of the ways we can plan by amending the existing law. The Traffic Act as it stands is archaic. As I have said, we have very many Kenyans now driving. We also have boda boda now but we still have very narrow roads. We still have roads being constructed without any consideration of the increased numbers."
