This Bill is going to the committee at 5.00 p.m. The Minister now wants us to dispense with the provisions that give the committee the opportunity to look at the Bill, so that we can have the committee’s comments on it at the Committee Stage. The Bill can come here even as early as tomorrow. Why does he want us to waive our right to look at the recommendations of the committee? Is it in order for him to anticipate the report of the committee, which has not even met?"
