    "content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I mentioned lightning as one of the disasters which have been categorized. The area where the hon. Member comes from is known as “lightning prone”. It is a bed that comes from Kakamega, through Nandi Hills all the way through Kericho onto Kisii. Scientists tell us that this is as a result of the hydro-electric cycle in the lake basin area. When the lake surface water is heated, it evaporates. When it goes to the higher altitudes, it is pushed by the wind towards the mountains or the hills. Lightning occurs because of the rush cooling and the friction that takes place."
