    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, His Excellency the President also said that it is important that we approach the next election as a cohesive society. With the new Constitution and what happened during the last general election, Kenyans expect nothing but a free and fair general election. They expect an election where people will decide to choose the leaders that they want. We do not want to go back to the situation that we were in before. For us, as Members of Parliament, I think this is the time to avoid any kind of rhetoric that can incite people and bring us to the same terrible situation that we were in. There are very many wonderful opportunities for this country. Therefore, there can be no doubt at all that if we do have a free and fair election, the reputation of this country will be great all over the world. We will be in a scenario where we can attract substantial inflow of resources into this country, which will make our economy stronger and open many opportunities for employment. More important, we will be able to reduce the poverty levels that we have in this country."
