"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to applaud the role of Jomo Kenyatta Foundation in helping the extremely poor children in the Republic of Kenya. One of the criteria that we notice in the advertisements is that a student should have scored a minimum of 370 marks in order to apply. Some of these notices are so short and are in newspapers. Some of the students from the marginalized places do not necessarily read the newspapers to be able to apply for bursaries. Could the Assistant Minister consider lowering the minimum requirement to even 300 marks, so that children from marginalized areas can access the same? He should also ensure that the applications are sent through the District Education Officers instead of having them in Nairobi."
