That has even been confirmed by the Registrar of Political Parties, that she has no communication to the contrary about myself and other members in relation to the party called ODM. Mr. Speaker, Sir, as I conclude my contribution, I want to go back to Article 81(b) of the Constitution which says “not more than two-thirds of the members of elective public bodies shall be of the same gender.” The way we are going to do the ballot tomorrow--- If we go ahead with the process as it is now, we are not sure whether it will give us a third of either gender. We want women to compete against women, at least for a third. We will then have guaranteed seats for women and men; it is how we should conduct the election tomorrow. With those remarks, I want to request that you send back this list to the political parties to enhance the numbers to 15. We were saying “up to three” in the rules in anticipation that there might be less than 27 applicants."
