    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also rise to very strongly oppose the amendment by Dr. Eseli. I want to indicate that this Motion is neither timely nor meritorious. I recall that this House discussed Clause 14 and overwhelmingly supported it. A few minutes ago the Speaker of this House okayed the support that was given by this House on Clause 14. It is important that we should not try to destroy the spirit and letter of the Political Parties Act. We should retain it for the well being of the political parties in this country. With those few remarks and without hesitation, I oppose this Motion."
