    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, just indulge me to stress the urgency of this Ministerial Statement. Indeed, I filed this request for the Ministerial Statement online while in the middle of an Education Day back in my constituency yesterday. It was out of the outcry from head teachers of both primary and secondary schools that unless this matter is handled by the Ministry as a matter of urgency, we could be witnessing schools closing down across the country. The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), which represents teachers, has also indicated that if this matter is not treated as an emergency, they could be calling their teachers out for industrial action as a protest in this matter. Therefore, I want to seek the indulgence of the Chair that the Government be required to deliver this Ministerial Statement in the shortest time possible. Thank you."
