    "content": "The second thing I want to say is that we have noticed the fast growing rate of the public debt. We were having an engagement with the Minister yesterday or the day before yesterday, where he indicated that the debt levels are still sustainable. Looking at the debt levels according to records from Treasury, our debt today stands at Kshs1.5 trillion against a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Kshs3.025 trillion. If you work this out in percentage terms, it means that our public debt today stands at 51 per cent of the GDP."
