"content": "He was successful in the world of entrepreneurship and his industriousness is evident in the participation in various sectors of the economy. In parliament, he will be remembered for his eloquence during debates and his unwavering defence for courses he believed to be for public good and national security. The late Prof. Saitoti was a loving husband to his wife Margaret and family. Hon. Members, the late Joshua Orwa Ojode was born in Ratanga Village in Ndhiwa Constituency on 29th December, 1958. He went to Ratanga Primary School between 1966 and 1972. He later on proceeded to Maranda High School for his secondary education between 1973 and 1976. Between 1988 and 1991, he joined Ramapo State University College in the United States of America (USA) where he studied environmental studies and business administration. Between 1978 to 1981, he worked at the Ministry of Water Development and with Nile Investments, Central Africa Limited and Polypipes Limited as the marketing manager. Hon. Ojode was first elected to Parliament in a by-election in 1994 and has served the people of Ndhiwa Constituency in that capacity until his untimely death on 10th June, 2012. In his political career, Hon. Ojode served in various positions, including being an Assistant Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology over the period of 2000 and 2003, Assistant Minister of Lands and Settlement over the period 2003 to 2005, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs in 2005 and Assistant Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security from 2008 until his untimely demise."
