    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, aware that investment in science and technology, research and education is one of the most critical sources of economic transformation of any country, acknowledging that success of today’s most advanced and developed countries had been due to their consistent annual investment of over 1 per cent of their Gross Domestic Product (GD) to pure and applied research in science, technology and innovation; aware that Vision 2030 proposes intensified application of science, technology and information to raise productivity and efficiency levels across economic, social and political development pillars; this House urges the Government to allocate over 1 per cent of its GDP to research in science, technology and innovation, and establish an independent national research foundation to promote and coordinate research activities."
