(a)Yes, I am aware of the Government directive that all public servants including those working for parastatals should travel Economy Class for flights less than two hours. The directive is being implemented and excludes Ministers, Assistant Ministers and Permanent Secretaries. However, officers wishing to travel First Class or Business Class are required to personally pay for the upgrading of the ticket. (b) All Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the directive by all officers accordingly."
