"content": "Mr. Chairman, Sir, Section 41(2) reads (according to the Act):- The Commission shall, after consultations with the candidates, political parties concerned and the offices responsible for the State-owned media services, monitor the equitable allocation of airtime during the campaign period. I just wanted a clarification. Maybe, the Attorney-General can assist us here with “the candidates”. Can the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) talk with all candidates? I want to imagine the reference here was to the independent candidates. That is because the candidates of the political parties will be taken care of by the political parties. I just wanted that clarity for avoidance of doubt; that IEBC will not assemble all of us in some meeting since we are all candidates."
