    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I think what the Constitution envisaged is a situation where there will be certain members of society who are independent. At nomination level, your constituency is your political party, or lack of it. So, if we delete this, we will be denying members of a political party the right to exercise their mandate within the confines of their constituency. When we leave it open, then that person who is nominated by a combination of members of various political parties is not, indeed, an independent party.
