    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, of recent, we have been registering members into political parties. You will notice that actually the majority of voters in Kenya do not belong to any political party by the numbers that we have registered. Therefore, those ones can be considered as independent. Therefore, if they have a candidate that they want to field, that candidate should be independent and backed by them. They have enough people to back them. This issue here is the same mutilation that we have been doing but now we have gone further to even mutilate reason. How can you be nominated by partisan people and call yourself independent? So, I oppose this amendment totally."
