    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the hon. Member for Bura for bringing the petition as requested by the people of Lamu. Lamu is going to be the beginning of LAPSET 2. Kenyans as usual have run there to grab land and to displace the indigenous people. The new Constitution recognizes those people who have been marginalized for a long time. I want to make sure that this kind of petition that has come to this House will be favourable to the people of Lamu who have not been given land. They have been squatters for a long time. Some of them do not even have national identity cards."
