Members, in particular, His Excellency the President has objected to the amendment passed by this House introducing a new sub-section 1(a) to Section 51 of the Political Parties Act, 2011, Act No. 11 of 2011 and has proposed its deletion. Additionally, the President has expressed reservations on the amendments passed by this House amending sub-sections (2) and (3) of Section 22 of the Election Act, 2011, Act No.24, 2011. The President has similarly proposed their deletion from the Bill."
