"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Local Government the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Minister aware that Kisumu City Council advertised for sale of a property situated in Kisumu Municipality/Block 9/111 on 19th March, 2012, in contravention of the provisions of the Transition to Devolved Governments Act, 2012? (b) Is the Minister further aware that Nairobi and Mombasa City Councils, and Eldoret Municipal Council, among other local authorities, are in the process of disposing of their properties? (c) What urgent measures will the Minister take to stop the disposal of councils’ assets and ensure that the officer(s) involved in illegal transactions are arrested and arraigned in court?"
