    "content": "As pertains to Kerugoya Market, the Municipal Council of Kerugoya-Kutus together with the European Union (EU) jointly funded the construction of phase one of the market under the Poverty Reduction Fund. Phase one involved the construction of a slab level where the council provided 36 per cent and the EU provided 64 per cent of the total cost of Kshs7 million. This was realized in March, 2009. Phase two involved a superstructure that was done jointly by the council and stakeholders. The phase two project was completed in March, 2010, and the market is now habitable and in good condition."
