In Meru where the Assistant Minister comes from, particularly Kibirichwa Division, we have the same problem. Could he consider, because this is a legal notice with penal consequences, utilizing the services of the police stations that are scattered all over the country to have some prosecutions? Unless he starts with prosecuting the culprits, this problem will never end given the shortage of extension officers. It is not good enough to tell us that they are in the process of doing something which they have been doing for the last 30 years without results while potato farmers are suffering. Could he consider utilizing the police to prosecute these people who are undermining their policy and the law?"
