    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, in response to Dr. Khalwale’s question on the same matter, I wish to state that no further report has been made to the police regarding the incident in Naivasha where unknown person assaulted the District Officer while traveling in a matatu. Furthermore, she has not complained against the DC for sexual harassement as alleged by the hon. Member. However, should such a report be made and any officer including the DC found culpable, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law. No investigation can therefore, commence unless the officer makes a formal complaint to the police. The officer is equally free to report such cases to any office for appropriate administrative action. (c) On the measures taken to resolve the long standing land conflict, I would like to state that the scheme has been under close surveillance by the District Security Committee because of the conflict and appropriate action is taken whenever security situation--- The local peace committees have been holding several peace meetings and initiatives to address the conflict. Plans are also underway to establish a police post at Kokwamwei to beef up security in the scheme. The Provincial Commissioner has recommended the setting up of a task force to look into all matters affecting Banita Settlement Scheme and the matter is being considered by the Government. (d) I am not aware of any security or personal threat on the MP or any of his constituents since he has not brought to my attention any such threats.
