    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is true that all the sugar factories normally undergo annual maintenance. The country is a net sugar importer because our annual production is 520 metric tonnes whereas our local demand is 720 metric tonnes. We normally allow importers to bring in the deficit. The importers are unable to get sugar anywhere in the world because even if they bring it here, it becomes extremely very competitive. So, we have a problem which seems to be escalating every day."
