(a) My Ministry through the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has awarded contract for the design of Chuluni–Mwitika Road, otherwise referred to as C96 with a view of upgrading it to bitumen standards. The final design report is expected towards the end of this month, August, 2012. (b) There is no allocation of funds for tamarcking the road this Financial Year, 2012/2013 because the engineering designs for the road have not been completed."
