    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, yes, anthrax is a very sensitive trade related communicable disease, and it rarely attacks pigs; but as a Ministry and Government, we have started a major disease surveillance and vaccination programme. It is going on in the country in many areas where anthrax is predominantly found. In the last six months, from March, we have identified anthrax in Limuru, Nairobi, Kiambu, Eldoret West, and Kirinyaga. Our officers in the laboratory centres in all these regions have carried out diagnosis and surveillance and now we are carrying out vaccination."
