"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 3 of the Bill be amended- (a) by deleting the words “under to Article 119 of the Constitution”; (b) by deleting paragraph (f) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph- (f) indicate whether any efforts have been made to have the matter addressed by a relevant body and whether there has been any response from that relevant body or whether the response has been unsatisfactory. (c) by deleting paragraph (g) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph- (g) indicate whether the issues in respect of the petition is made are pending before any court of law or other constitutional or legal body; The import of this amendment is that one of them is to do with whether the petition is either in court or the matters discussed in the petition are in court. We want to delete “(f)” as indicated in the Order Paper saying indicate whether any effort has been made to have the matter addressed by a relevant body and whether there has been any response from that relevant body and whether the response has been unsatisfactory and, therefore, calling for the petition to Parliament."
