Standing Order No.116 reads: “The Clerk shall call severally each part of the Bill in the sequence prescribed in Standing Order 115 and if no amendment is proposed thereto or when all proposed amendments have been disposed of, the Chairperson shall propose the question “That, the .... (as amended) stand part of the Bill” and, when Members who wish to speak have spoken, the Chairperson shall put that question to the Committee for decision.” So, if you say “Yes” that amendment passes. If you say “No” it means that Clause 17 remains as is in the Bill. Hon. Members, let us vote so that we can continue. I, therefore, put the Question, that Clause 17 as mended be part of the Bill.
