    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- (a) THAT Clause 30 be amended by deleting sub-clause (2) and substituting therefor the following- “The Judicial Service Commission shall appoint the members of the Tribunal through an open, competitive and transparent process”. This amendment is to ensure that the appointment of the tribunal, which will have quasi-judicial powers, will be done through the Judicial Service Commission, which meets the threshold of the Constitutional requirement and ensures uniformity, so that the tribunal’s decisions can win the confidence of the profession."
