On 7th August this year, I sought for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Environment and Mineral Resources about the state of hyacinth in Winam Gulf, and what they are doing to remove it. He was supposed to issue the Ministerial Statement last week but he did not come to the House on that day. I kindly ask for your indulgence so that we can have the Statement sometime early next week if it is suitable to the Speaker."
