"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, if we are asking the Army to move to Tana River, who is the enemy? This is because the Army will not go and say: “This is the aggressor and this is the aggressed.” It is a very dangerous thing. I am sorry to say that I do not support this Motion because it is very dangerous. Our Army must deal with external threats to our country. They can only come into a situation where they provide support to civilian authority but they cannot really go and do the job themselves. Their job is to remove the enemy from the scene and in fact, it is very difficult for the Army to reorient itself and say: “We are now moving in to sort out the situation.” Personally, I want to say that I sympathise with the situation but it is dangerous to send the Army into a situation where they have to take over from civilian authority. I do not support this issue of sending the Army down there. The Army can only go and show the flag while the national forces move and sought out the situation. With those few remarks, I do not support."
