I strongly doubt whether Kenya is a sovereign State, when I look at this saga of the Charterhouse Bank. If you look at the number of questions that have been raised here severally over the closure of this bank, I always think that there is a deliberate move to either close it for good or frustrate the survival of that indigenous bank. Would I be in order to ask the Minister to tell us whether or not they have any intention of opening the bank, so that the depositors can go home and sleep without having to imagine that money being recovered?"
