"content": "On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Three years ago, a Mr. Enos Ogada who hails from Nyando Constituency left this country to seek for greener pastures in Dubai. Mr. Ogada, together with his wife and children have been in Dubai for the last three years. Mr. Ogada is a good citizen of Kenya and while he was in Dubai, he was fending for his family and relatives here at home – I mean the nuclear and extended family. Mr. Speaker, Sir, two weeks ago, we got a call from Dubai - through Ogada’s friends - that informed the family that Ogada passed away after being sentenced to jail in Dubai. Up to date, the family does not know under what circumstances Mr. Ogada was sentenced to jail. The shocking part of it is that he was sentenced to jail and he died in one of those jails in Dubai. I want to ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs the following questions:- It has taken almost two weeks and we have not heard from the Ministry. We do not know what the Ministry is doing to get the correct position regarding Mr. Ogada’s death."
