    "content": "(Mr. ole Metito): Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I appreciate the applause from my colleagues. I beg to reply. The following measures have been put in place in areas with a history of recurrent hostilities to improve security and ensure peaceful co-existence:- (i) Enhanced security presence through establishment of more police stations and police divisions; (ii) Enhanced vehicle and foot patrols; (iii) Improved collection of intelligence to forestall recurrence of such hostilities; (iv) Establishment of peace committees through the Provinvicial Administration, elders, religious groups and other stakeholders. The peace committees are chaired by respected community leaders; (v) Re-activation of community policing initiatives to improve community- Government participation in policing; (vi) Partnering with National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to monitor political utterances which may incite communities against one another and ensure appropriate action is taken. In this regard, several political leaders and supporters are under investigation and action has been taken against others. (vii) The independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission which has a mandate over the delimitation of constituencies and wards, is addressing the boundary disputes;"
