    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support the Bill because I am a firm believer in Constitutionality. The Constitution of Kenya guarantees freedom of association. I do not believe that subsidiary legislation should be put in place to limit Kenyans’ ability to interact and associate with one another. The nature of politics and statehood is fluid and Kenyans and their leaders should be free to associate with any party they wish. Parties are not religions or whatever, especially in Kenya where the identity of a party is the party leader. There is no ideology or difference in the manifestoes. For people who come from marginalized areas, the freedom of association is very important, otherwise, they will be at the mercy of a few individuals who command fanatical followings from their ethnic groups or backyards. These individuals hold other politicians to ransom. We want to have freedom of association. The shorter the period, the better. Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir."
