    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me congratulate hon. Baiya and his Committee on this amendment. I think the whole essence of this amendment was to extend this term, so that the country is covered during the run up to the general election. I want to now urge the Commission to be very strong. It should be ruthless with people who incite Kenyans against each other. They also need to go and find out--- There are areas where the tensions are not inter-ethnic, but intra-ethnic. Above all, it is important that the values of cohesion and national integration are espoused rather than running after a few errant individuals. Examples must be there for all and sundry to see, particularly at this time when we are going to elections. We do not want to see a repeat of what happened last time. With those few remarks, I beg to support."
