The development of this policy involved intensive and extensive consultation across the country to seek opinions on the continued and emerging population challenges both internationally and at the local level. Hon. Members, the policy has incorporated views from the fora of regional leaders, national leaders, conference on population development held in November 2010, the retreat for Members of Parliament held in July, 2011 and inputs from the Attorney- General’s Chamber.
