    "content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the hon. Member for Ikolomani said that the manner in which the Government is handling the Al Shabaab issue leaves a lot to be desired. You can actually combine that question with the one asked by the hon. Member for Mandera East, Mr. Hussein, who also talked about intelligence gathering in the country. He asked what the police are doing about this. Our security forces have tried and are doing their best. However, hon. Members need to appreciate the fact that dealing with a terrorist gang is not one of the easiest things. There are a number of would-be attacks which have been nipped in the bud by the security forces. I have information which is never made public all the time. I want it to be known that it is not that our security forces are sleeping. We are dealing with a gang that is operating in a very wide open space. There are areas which are porous and, therefore, penetration is very easy. This is also added to the fact that it is very easy for some of these people to come in and blend with our people in the country very easily and recruit from our territory.
