I want to congratulate Dr. Otichilo for coming up with this Motion. I know him as a reknown expert, especially in regional mapping and remote sensing; so he really understands what he is talking about. I want to say that the Government should take all the necessary measures to stop the construction of Gibe 3 Hydro Power Dam for the reasons that he has given us. As a country, we all know that when it comes to serious issues, like insecurity or environmental issues, we normally do not take them seriously, as a Government and as a people."
