    "content": " Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, what we are saying is just what I explained earlier; that we are changing the way taxation is done. The retail selling price has been very difficult to implement because various bars, hotels and restaurant charge different prices for the same beer. So, we are now saying that we delete the retail selling price and use ex-factory price, but at 50 per cent. This is to simplify the tax regime and ensure stability in revenue yields. As I said, I do not expect the prices of beers to change because, in effect, there are some hotels which sell a bottle of beer at Kshs200. Other restaurants sell the same beer at Kshs70 per bottle. Let me warn bars, restaurants and hotels not to increase the price of beer just because we have changed the way we are going to charge tax. I beg to move."
