So many things are sold. By controlling the rates, it will mean that banks like the Co- operative Bank that I am talking about will be able to work at par. Why can we not build our own banks? Barclays Bank or Standard Chartered Bank declare high interest rates. I wish it were our local banks declaring big profits because they would plough them back. Even employment in these other banks is not as much as in our local banks. So, I support the amendment by Mr. Midiwo but we must protect---"
