    "content": "scrap metal trade is causing in the infrastructure sector and road safety particularly due to vandalism of road rails and telephone cables. (b) I am aware that some scrap metal dealers who had huge stocks were granted a one-off approval by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industrialization. This was done within a controlled time frame. (c) Exportation of scrap metal is already prohibited in Kenya and in all other parts of the East African Community states. This is as per the Legal Notice No.16/2010 amended part “b” on restricted and prohibited goods of EAC Customs Management Act, 2004."
